Get Paid to Read!

Are you a regular reader? We’re a research team studying books, looking for readers who will read a (free!) published novel and then take a comprehensive survey afterwards (and earn $15), telling us in detail what the story was like for you. The goal of this project is to learn more about story structure, and to help develop new ways for publishers to promote and support books by underrepresented authors. Interested in signing up? Click the below link and share a few details about yourself for a chance to participate in our book study!

For additional details on research practices, terms and conditions and privacy policy, see the Terms and Conditions section. (These details are also restated in the linked survey.)

Don’t miss out—get rewarded for reading, and help us improve publishing!

Who We Are

We’re professors and researchers at the University of Toronto and Northeastern University, conducting a pilot study on books and reading, and we’re looking to hire readers like you! Our goal is to better understand and improve the promotion of books, particularly those by authors from underrepresented groups. This is purely an academic research project, approved by ethics review boards at University of Toronto. To learn more about the project and to see our personal profiles, see our official grant project page, linked below.
